Properties:

 white powdery matter, Melting point of industrial product is from 142 to 144:142-144, Vapor pressure 0.017mPa(30), Solubility (25); 74mg/L in water; 54g/kg in acetone, 24g/kg in benzene,51g/kg in dichloromethane. It is stable at normal temperature but decomposes in strong alkaline and acid.

Uses:

Selective herbicide, absorbed by the roots and foliage. 

Effective at 1.5-3.0 kg/ha, both as a residual soil-acting herbicide and a contact foliar-spray, against many broad-leaved and grass weeds of winter cereals, especially against Alopecurus myosuroides. It is combined with mecoprop to improve the control of Galium, Papaver and Veronica spp.

Toxicity:

(Rat): Oral LD50 >10,000 mg/kg. Dermal LD50 >2000 mg/kg
