Properties:

Colorless crystals.Mixture of two stereoisomerism enantiomer pairs.Melting point:110-130°C.Vapor pressure <1mPa at 20°C.Stable under normal storage conditions.Slightly soluble in isopropanol,methylene chloride,cyclohexanone.Insoluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons.

Uses:

A systemic fungicide used as seed treatment to control smut and bunt of wheat,loose and covered smut and Typhula blight of barley,powdery mildew,rusts,leaf spot and take-all and common root and foot rot of wheat and barley head smut of corn and grain sorghum.Used on cotton for protection against Rhizoctonia and Thielaviopsis.Also used on vegetables,ornamentals,coffee,deciduous fruit,grapes,tobacco,bananas,and other crops.

Toxicity:

Acute oral LD50:for rats 700mg/kg,acute percutaneous LD50:for rats>5000mg/kg,no skin or eye irritation to rabbits.In 2-y feeding trials NOEL for rats 125mg/kg diet.ADI for man 0.05rog/kg body weight.
