Properties:

Appearance : pure product is white needle-like crystal, Industrial product is gray or light yellow to brown powder.

Melting Point: 187-188°C.

Vapour Pressure: 0.027mPa(25°C).

 Solubility: in water at 25,1.6g/l.In acetone 10.4,methanol 25,xylene 2.1(all in g/l,25).

Stability: Stable at 52(highest storage temperature tested).Reatively stable to u.v.light.

Uses:

Control of rice blast (pyricularia oryzae) in transplanted and direct-seeded rice. Can be applied as a flat drench, rransplant root soak, or foliar application. One or two applicationa by one or more of these methods give a season-long control of the disease.

Toxicity:

Oral Acute oral LD50 for rats 314, mice 245, dogs50mg/kg. Skin and eye Acute percutaneous; LD50 for rabbits2000mg/kg; Slight eye irritant; not-irritating to skin (rabbits). Inhalation LC50(1h) for rats 0.146mg/l air.
